Suspected al Qaeda op Al-Libi in NY federal court
Abu Anas al Libi, an alleged al Qaeda operative, is expected to appear in federal court in New York on Tuesday. He was snatched on Oct. 5 from a street in Tripoli, Libya, by US Army Delta Force commandos and taken to a US Navy ship for questioning, a process that was supposed originally to take two months. Al Libya is accused of a hand in the 1998 US Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania among other terrorist crimes.
