Syria: Israeli artillery targets Hizballah outpost
Israel has not commented on Syrian claims of an artillery/rocket attack on military positions close to its border with Israel Sunday night. Arab media report that those positions hosted a Lebanese Hizballah lookout post. Syrian opposition sources add that the attack was followed by Israeli overflights scattering leaflets that bore the photos and names of Samer A-Dana, said to be head of Syrian intelligence, and Tariq Maher, commander of Hizballah’s intelligence network Syria, together with a warning. “Syria’s army officers and men should know that we are fully aware of your intelligence collaboration with Hizballah in the border zone. This makes you our target and the recipients of greater harm than any benefits.
