Syria threatens chemical reprisal if Israel attacks its CW arsenal

A Syrian official told the Kuwaiti A-Rai that Damascus would treat an Israeli attack on its chemical weapons stocks as casus belli and use them against Israel. An attack, he said, would cause grave environmental damage and death. The threatening talk from Israeli leaders, said the Syrian official, is rash and childish because they don’t understand the consequences of an adventure of this kind.
