Syrian airstrike kills three Turkish soldiers near Aleppo

Three Turkish soldiers were killed and ten others were wounded on Thursday from an airstrike by Syrian warplanes in the area of Aleppo, a Turkish military spokesman in Ankara said. DEBKAfile intelligence sources report that Turkish tank, artillery and ground forces are battling Islamic State fighters on the outskirts of the northern Syrian town of Al Bab in the framework of Ankara's Euphrates Shield operation. The town currently controlled by the terrorist organization is about 55 kilometers south of the Turkish border and about 50 kilometers east of Aleppo.
