Syrian army entrenches in recaptured Quneiitra

Western military sources tell DEBKAfile Wednesday that the Syrian army has stabilized its control of Quneitra on the Syrian Golan, from where it was pushed out by rebel forces in September. To block the rebels’ return, Syrian troops are building defense barricades to the northeast of the region around al-Baath City and its surrounding countryside.
