Syrian army general and 2 colonels killed in ambush near Deraa
DEBKAfile reports that a Syrian army general, two colonels and many soldiers died in a rebel ambush Friday near Sheikh Maskin outside Deraa, near the southern Syrian borders with Israel and Jordan. Their convoy was heading for the Syrian army’s 5th Division headquarters.
