Syrian ceasefire extended to area north of Homs

A fourth "de-escalation zone" has been established in Syria, the Russian Defense Ministry's spokesman said. In comments shown Thursday on Russian TV, Igor Konashenkov said the ministry and Syria's opposition agreed on a ceasefire starting Thursday afternoon in the new zone north of the city of Homs. Nearly 150,000 people live in the area, according to the spokesman.
