Syrian drone attacks coalition forces for 1st time

A Syrian government drone attacked forces from the US-led coalition as they conducted a patrol in southern Syria on Thursday, marking the first such Syrian strike on coalition forces. A US military spokesman said the drone, which resembled a US MQ-1 Predator, dropped a bomb that did not hit any of the coalition troops. The US shot down the drone shortly afterwards and bombed pro-Assad forces that violated a deconfliction zone in the area, the spokesman said.
