Syrian fighter jets reported firing on Aleppo rebels

UN observers say that Syrian air force jets were firing Wednesday on rebel positions holding on in Aleppo in an attempt to break the stalemate in five days of fighting between government and rebel forces for control of the city. Until now, the Syrian army fought with artillery, tanks and helicopter gunships.
