Syrian forces confront Turkish troops at Kobani and Manbij

Syrian government forces arrived at the Kurdish-held towns of Kobani, Manbij and Raqqa on Monday as Turkish troops were poised to move in against the first two. According to some reports the Syrian army are already in those towns, but, say DEBKAfile’s military sources, it can’t hold out against a Turkish advance without Russian support. This major switch on the front Turkey opened against the Kurds of northeastern Syria six days ago, occurred at lightning speed the day after Kurdish leaders struck a deal with Syria regime and Russian commanders and agreed to turn their territory over to the Assad regime. Since Syrian government troops are not up to a full-scale battle with the Turkish army without Russian army and air force support, Turkey and Russian stand at the threshold of a major military clash.

Interestingly, this MIGHT put Erdogan back into a more NATO-friendly stance. With a potential clash with Russia coming up, getting parts, training, etc. for an S-400 system might prove problematic?

Whatever happens it will be horrible but fascinating.

Putin will not attack or invade Turkey’s territory proper, but the Turkish forces inside Syria are a different story, and since Turkey attacked and invaded Syria in a war of aggression the NATO treaty article 5, may not be adhered to by NATO member nations due to Turkey starting this war of aggression. If Russia invades Turkey to take a spoil, this will change NATO’s response.

I believe Russia, Turkey, Iran and others will bond together and turn against Israel. They will fight against Israel and the USA.

As I have said. This is proof that there is a “deal” between the Russian and American superpower aspirations. In the coming months prepare for something that makes Yalta look a Monopoly game.
