Syrian jihadists claim they blew up a Russian convoy in Latakia

The Hayat Tahir Al-Sham (former Al Qaeda-linked Al Nusra) claimed to have conducted a suicide bombing Friday by driving an explosives-packed vehicle into a Russian military convoy driving on the northern outskirts of the Russian Khmeimim Air Base in Latakia. The jihadist group uploaded images to back up its claim of a rare attack on a Russian military target, which was not confirmed by another other source.
