Syrian Kurds may release 3,200 ISIS captives

Commanders of the Kurdish-led Democratic Forces (SDF) warned Friday that, after the US army pulls out of Syria. more than 3,000 local and foreign ISIS prisoners held in their detention camps in the Deir ez-Zour region of eastern Syria may be freed.  The Kurds are considering withdrawing from Deir ez-Zour and moving north, ready to repel the Turkish army’s advance into East Euphrates. This move would leave the detention camps unguarded.

Sounds like what Obama would do.

After the US army pulls out all eyes will focus on the oil fields, Syrian Kurds have no choice but to join Bashar Assad. Erdogan plan is to kill the SDF and resurrect ISIS.

Remember what US did with the South Vietnam, and don’t wonder if they don’t understand repercussions of the such behaviour.

The worst mistake with vietnam was not pulling out much sooner. Had LBJ et al not killed kennedy, he would have had the USA out in 1964. From the start the vietnam war was just a money making scheme for the mil ind complex, of which the Johnsons were prominent members.

I hope this fulfilled campaign promise will encourage the various kurd factions to lay aside their differences and cooperate; there is no other way for them to achieve sovereignty.

the greatest obstacle to kurdish independence is the convergence of the interests of iran, iraq, syria, and turkey, not to cede any of their territory to a kurdish state. that doesn’t leave them with many allies; even uncle sam sold them out in favour of appeasing first iraq and now turkey.

I suppose the Kurds could simply kill them – all 3000 of them. The world would be a better place as a consequence.

This would prevent hundreds of ISIS attacks all over the world. It would be far better than releasing them.

it’s not nice to kill them. lock them in a stadium, give them a knife, and offer the last one standing a free ticket to the eu country of their choice.
