Syrian PM unhurt in assassination attempt in central Damascus

Syrian Prime Minister Wael al-Halki survived an assassination attempt Monday when an explosion hit his convoy as it traveled through the central Damascus district of Mazzeh. Syrian state television reported at least six people were killed including the premier’s bodyguard and 15 injured, among them his driver.
