Syrian rebels claim capture of key northern airbase

The rebels’ claim to have stormed Syria’s most important northern air base, Taftanaz near Idlib, capturing tanks, helicopters and quantities of ammunition, is not confirmed by any other source.  It is reported that after failing in several attempts to capture the air base, the rebels enlisted the al Qaeda-linked Jabhat al-Nusrah to spearhead the attack Friday.
