Syrian rulers reject opposition conditions for dialogue

A member of Basshar Assad’s ruling party Fayez Sayegh said Tuesday dialogue between the Syrian government and its political opponents should start without preconditions. He rejected opposition chief Mouaz al-Khatib’s call to begin by releasing tens of thousands of political prisoners as a first step.
