Syrian ultimatum to Lebanese kidnappers to release Allawite hostages or else…

Damascus has given the kidnappers of eight Syrian Alawite workers until midnight Tuesday to hand the hostages over or else their mostly Sunni Wadi Khaled region of Hisheh in north Lebanon will be destroyed. Masked Lebanese gunmen of the Lebanese al-Ahmad tribe from this region snatched the Syrians as they crossed the border as hostages for the exchange of a Lebanese man held by Syrian authorities.
