Teenage Syrian charged in Germany with plotting Cologne bomb attack

The German police said Wednesday that it had arrested a sixteen-year-old Syrian migrant on charges of planning to detonate bombs in the city of Cologne. A spokesman for the prosecution said the teenager was determined to carry out the attack and had been in close contact with ISIS figures who told him where to buy the materials for explosives and how to construct devices for the bombing. A cellular phone in the suspect's possession was said to contain a great deal of evidence of his contacts with the terrorist organization as well as of the training and instructions that he received.
