Tel Aviv gunman still at large, his home searched
Police Saturday searched the home in Wadi Ara of the Israeli Arab identified as the gunman who Friday killed two people and injured eight others in a shooting spree on Tel Aviv’s Dizengoff St. The offcers detained his brother and confiscated computers and papers. A massive police manhunt for the gunman has so far drawn a blank. While the investigation is blacked out by an 8-day court order, DEBKAfile infers from published details that the attack was the result of prior planning with confederates and a hideout was prepared in advance. The attack, moreover, shared the hallmarks of some of the most notorious ISIS attacks in France, e.g., the four Jewish school murders in Toulouse, Yassin Salhi who displayed his boss’s severed head on the fence of an American gas factory (and Friday coincidentally took his own life in a French prison), and the November 13 massacre of 130 victims n Paris.
