Temple Mount closed to Jewish visitors until further notice

Following the latest incident in which a group of Jews violated the regulations for visiting Jerusalem's Temple Mount, the commander of the Jerusalem District of the Israel Police, Deputy Commissioner Yoram Halevy, on Wednesday ordered the removal of the group and the closing of the holy site to Jewish visitors until further notice. The Israel Police said it will not allow anyone to violate the regulations. Israeli media reports said one of the visitors was taken in for questioning Wednesday morning after prostrating himself on the highly sensitive site.
