Terror attack on US embassy in Kiev: bomb thrown, no casualties

An unidentified person threw an explosive device over the security fence of the American embassy in the capital of Ukraine early Thursday morning. The device blew up but did not cause any casualties or damage to the diplomatic mission. In a statement, the local police said the incident is being investigated as an act of  terror. As of the early afternoon, there was no claim of responsibility for the attack.
