Terrorism bureau lists 41 travel warnings for High Holidays
Israel's Counter-Terrorism Bureau Monday published 41 warnings for Israelis traveling overseas next month for the High Holidays. They include no new warnings. Apart from the obvious places like Kashmir or Nigeria, Turkey stays on the list because it is currently prey to terrorist attacks. Islamic extremists have in the past year conducted terrorist attacks in Belgium, Canada, France and Denmark. They may also seek out Israeli and Jewish targets in West and North Europe. Another threat comes from the Iran-Hizballah global terror campaign against Israelis and Jews worldwide. Israeli travelers are observed to be extra vigilant and resist attractive offers from strangers.
