Terrorists bombed police compound in SE Turkey, minister says
Turkey's Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu announced Wednesday that the explosion that killed three people and destroyed the northern part of the police compound in the southeastern city of Diyarbakir the previous day was a terrorist attack. Soylu said the terrorists had dug a tunnel below the compound's parking lot, filled it with explosives and then detonated them. The compound includes a police academy and the headquarters of a unit for dispersing demonstrations.
