Terrorists storm a luxury resort in Mali, reportedly take hostages

Mali Security Ministry reported Sunday night that a luxury resort east of the capital Bamako popular with Western tourists is under attack by gunmen. He said hostages have been taken. Automatic gunfire and explosions were heard and smoke rose up the Le Campement resort in Dougourakori. Malian forces are on the scene. There is no immediate information on casualties.

Last week, the US State Department warned of a possible increased threat of attacks against Western diplomatic missions, places of worship, and other locations frequented by Westerners in Bamako.
