The Asia-Pacific region was main market for Israel’s 2018 defense exports

One quarter of the defense products Israel exported in 2018 were missile and anti-missile systems, followed by UAVs (15pc), radar and electronic warfare systems and avionics (14pc each) and weapons stations (12pc). Defense exports in 2018 totaled  $7.5bn, a drop of $1.7bn compared with 2017. Altogether 46 percent of those products went to the Asia Pacific region, 26pc to Europe, 20pc to North America, 6pc to Latin America and 2pc to Africa. Brig. Gen. (res.) Mishel Ben Baruch, director of the Defense Ministry’s International Defense Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT), reported that these figures reflected dozens of deals concluded around the world.
