The “chemicals” found in the Brussels raid used for cheese production
DEBKAfile reports that the chemicals found during the Belgian police raids of the Molenbeek suburb of Brussels were used for cheese-making and as harmless as the chemicals to be found in almost every household.
When asked, the Belgian prosecutor refused to confirm press reports about dangerous chemicals found in the suburb. The fugitive Saleh Abdeslam, the only terrorist known to have survived last week’s attacks in Paris, remains at large amid a massive manhunt. Later Sunday, the Belgian government will decide whether to extend the imminent terror alert and shutdown declared for the capital, as soldiers and paramilitary police continued to patrol the deserted streets.
