The coronavirus cabinet meets as pandemic infection spikes
The ministers meeting on Sunday afternoon are to promote implementation of the coronavirus director Prof. Ronni Gamzu’s program of local restrictions according to density of the infection. They will approve the strictest measures for “red” areas to pinpoint the plague in the hope of escaping another national lockdown. But more restrictions will also be imposed on the country at large. Last week, the cabinet agreed to partially open Israel’s skies to international air traffic on Aug. 16.
