The Knesset dissolution bill goes to Kahol Lavan-controlled committee

 The bill for dissolving parliament was approved by the Knesset last Wednesday. The vote was supported by a member of the government, Defense Minister Benny Gantz’s Kahol Lavon party, which nonetheless vowed to bring down the government because it is led by Binyamin Netanyahu and his Likud. The bill was referred on Tuesday to the Law Committee for the next stage of legislation, after which it goes to three full house readings for enactment. Kahol Lavan holds a majority in the Law Committee and can call the shots for the date and form of the election process.
