The mayors of southern Israel oppose premature truce

A joint statement released by the mayors of southern Israel appealed to the Government not to interrupt the military operation in Gaza before it achieves all its objectives and brings to an end the long Palestinian terror and missile threat from the Gaza Strip. The population is ready for great sacrifice for this end, so long as the mistake of Israel’s f withdrawal from Gaza before finishing the 2008 Cast Lead operation is not repeated.
