The names of remaining Golan fallen are released
Thirteen Golani Brigades fighters were killed in a number of engagements early Sunday, July 20, in the Hamas stronghold of Shejaiya district of Gaza City. The IDF released the first seven names Sunday night after they were identified. The names of the remaining six Golani fighters who died in combat Sunday were released Tuesday: They are Sgt. Max Steinberg, aged 24, from Beersheba; Stf.-Sgt. Shachar Tase, 20, from Pardesiya; Stf.-Sgt. Daniel Pomerantz, 20, from Kfar Azar; Sgt. Sean Mondshine, 19, from Tel Aviv; Sgt. Ben Itzhak Oanounou, 19, from Ashdod; and Stf.-Sgt. Oren Simcha Noah, 22, from Hoshaya.
The military spokesman also reported Tuesday the death of Sgt. Maj. Ohad Shemesh, 27, from Beit Elezry, in battle with terrorists Monday in Gaza. He is the 28th Israeli soldier lost in the Gaza operation.
