The Pentagon denies US forces conducted attacks in Iraq

The US Defense Department denied that its forces had conducted the attacks on the [PMU militia] convoy or recent attacks on ammunition storage facilities in Iraq. In a statement released on Monday, the Pentagon said: “We support Iraqi sovereignty and have repeatedly spoken out against any potential actions by external actors inciting violence in Iraq,” The US was moreover cooperating with an Iraqi investigation of the attacks.
