The Pentagon is also preparing “aggressive steps,” against Iran

“We are going to take steps necessary to address Iran’s malign influence in the region,” Defense Department spokesman Rob Manning told reporters at the Pentagon, shortly after US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo laid down a 12-condition ultimatum for Iran to halt its nuclear problem and its support for terror. “They are a destabilizing force in the region … and we’re going to do everything we can to avert that,” Manning said. “This is a whole government solution that we’re working on.” Without citing any specific action, the Pentagon spokesman said: “We’re assessing if we’re going to double down on current actions or implement new actions. It’s on the table, we’re not going to rule out anything necessary to address Iran.”

barking dogs don’t bite. as we saw with obama, every time they repeat “all options are on the table”, the military option becomes LESS likely.

Unlike Obama, Trump has a foreign policy, that serves America’s interest. What’s happening with Iran in Syria, serves Trump Putin and Netanyahu political/military interest.

Russia told us not to attack Syrian Chemical plants, what part of that did you not understand.
Iranian forces are being attacked daily. I guess Israel and the US is going to take the same stance as Russia like in Ukraine. What troops, we did not shoot down that Civilian Airplane, what Explosions.
Apparently Trump does not think he needs Europe to deal with Iran when he has Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and 32 countries total Lined up to deal with IRAN.
The US could defeat Iran in 3 weeks. Think about that.
The Iranian people are eventually going to decide the Mullahs gotta go.

Sing along with Senator John McCain:

“Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran!”

If the Ayatollah want to ride the nuclear fireball to Paradise, where he will commune with the Hidden Imam,
    the IAF will accommodate him!

As long as Iran drops its anti-Israel rhetoric Iran’s military (but not the IRG) should be kept intact if Iran is defeated or internally reformed. The West should not intervene in the Shea/Sunni conflict that eventually will bring an Islamic Reformation. Tipping the scale in favor of the Sunnis or in favor of the Shea, using the intra-Islamic confrontation to advance some political goals will cost the West and Russia life and treasure and will not achieve peace or bring profits to its corporations in the ME. Obviously the West must make sure that either side pays dearly if it uses WMD, commits genocide, etc. Despite its ME commercial interests Russia should be enticed to uphold the same red lines. Most likely China will not play by these rules and thus will succumb to its own internal problems as a player betting against an unstoppable historical process.

The IRGC is not the regular army of Iran. It is more like a private army of the Mullahs. If this entity is drawn in even more and damaged beyond repair in Syria then perhaps the regular army will have a better chance of leading an an internal change without serious bloodshed in Iran.
