The Red Cross’ estimate of deaths is as high as 100 the morning after the two massive explosions that ravaged Beirut and its port on Tuesday evening. Thousands were wounded and an unknown number remain trapped in the rubble of flattened buildings. The hospitals, struck by the blast, were unable to cope with the injured flooding in for emergency treatment. An urgent request for blood donations was issued. Israel, after offering humanitarian aid to the Lebanese people, will immediately care for the UN inspectors injured in the explosions.
