The Shin Bet: Israeli intel can handle any foreign meddling in its election

The Shin Bet security service stated Tuesday night that Israeli intelligence is armed with the necessary tools and capabilities for preventing any foreign intervention in its general election. The Shin Bet was responding to its chief Nadav Argaman’s warning that a foreign country was preparing to meddle in the Israeli election to tilt its results. The service, said the statement, is fully capable of locating and neutralizing all attempts to inject foreign influence, in so far as they take place, and ascertain that Israel conducts a democratic and free general election.
