Israel’s domestic security service, the Shin Bet, prevented 560 significant terrorist attacks in 2019, its director Nadav Argaman reported on Monday. They included 10 attempted suicide killings, 4 would-be abductions and more than 300 shootings. Argaman spoke at the awards ceremony for outstanding service by members. The Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu was present. Argaman reported that the outgoing year was packed with security challenges in all the areas of Shin Bet operations.
