The US moves F-16 fighter jets to the Gulf to stop Iran seizing oil tankers

The Pentagon Friday announced the deployment of F-16 warplanes to the Persian Gulf as air cover for the ships moving through the Persian Gulf and “increasing the US military’s visibility in the area as a deterrent to Iran.” Just this week, Iranians commandeered three oil tankers sailing in Gulf waters.
