The victim of a Palestinian knifing identified as Ari Fuld

Ari Fuld, father of four aged 45 from the town of Efrat, died in hospital shortly after he was stabbed in the back  by a terrorist outside the Harim shopping center at the Gush Etzion intersection. He died in Shaarei Tzedek hospital a short time later, without recovering consciousness. Before he collapsed, Fuld, who served in the Efrat emergency squad, fired off a shot which injured the terrorist, a 17-year Palestinian from Yata village near Hebron.  The mall is frequented by Israelis and Palestinians in the region. In Jerusalem, a fake bomb was discovered at the Hadar shopping mall later Sunday. Police cleared the precinct before carrying the device away to the forensic lab. They believe it was planted by terrorist to test the level of Israeli vigilance. The police and security forces are on high counter-terror alert for the Jewish High Festival season in Judea and Samaria and Jerusalem.
