The White House confirms regular trilateral meetings on Iran

On March 20, DEBKAfile reported that the US, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Republic had agreed on their national security advisers holding regular meetings to counter Iran’s expansionist aggression. This was confirmed Monday, March 26 by the White House. The first meeting took place on Friday for a discussion of “issues of strategic importance… including joint efforts to counter the Iranian regime’s malign influence and provocative behavior,” according to the readout. Senior officials from the Departments of State, Defense, and the Treasury as well as the Intelligence Community also participated in the meeting. The White House noted. “The leaders agreed to meet trilaterally on a regular basis to develop and implement joint frameworks to mitigate threats to regional security.”.
