Third day of violent Palestinian outbreaks on Gaza border
An IDF drone struck a Hamas position Sunday night, from which a cloud of incendiary balloons was delivered, igniting fires on the Israeli side of the Gaza border. Sunday was the third successive day of violent Hamas riots, releasing a hail of grenades and explosive devices against IDF border units. Hamas appears to have adopted a new strategy: disturbances continue the week long, not just on Fridays, and assaults on border troops are ramped up from rocks to lethal grenades and firebombs. To hold the mob back, the IDF has turned increasingly from crowd dispersal measures to live fire, resulting in Palestinian injuries.
