Third IDF general in quarantine. Another 257 jump in covid-19 cases

Maj. Gen. Lior Carmeli, head of the IDF’s Cyber Defense Division, and other officers went into quarantine on Thursday after working closely with a soldier who was later confirmed with coronavirus. Carmeli is the third general in quarantine after OC Central Command, Maj. Gen Tamir Yadai and OC Southern Command Maj. Gen. Hertzi Halevi. Israel’s coronavirus count jumped by 257 in the past 24 hours to 19,894, including 4,092 active cases, 39 in serious condition and 32 on respirators – both figures edging up by 3 each. The death count stands at 303.
