Third Israeli dies of coronavirus
Hadassah hospital in Ain Karem, Jerusalem, reported the death on Tuesday of a man of 87 from complications caused by coronavirus. He was the third Israeli to die of the pandemic hours after a woman of 67 with multiple background ailments succumbed to the disease at Wolfson Hospital. Both suffered from background ailments. Altogether, 1,930 cases have now been confirmed, including 34 in serious condition. Among a raft of new restrictions imposed by the health authorities for containing the spread of the disease is a prohibition on individuals’ outdoor movements beyond 100 m from their homes – except for buying food and medicine and medical treatment. The group permitted to work until now may continue to do so while abiding by the current restrictions.
