Thirteen French troops killed in helicopter collision over Mali

While battling Islamic terrorists in Mali, two helicopters collided on Monday killing 13 French troops.  French president Emmanuel Macron expressed his “deep sadness” at the crash, stressing the “courage of the French soldiers” in what he called the “hard fight against terrorism” in west Africa’s Sahel region.

Some 4,500 French troops are fighting Al Qaeda and Islamic State terrorists in west Africa. During the four-year French counter-terror campaign there, France has lost 38 soldiers.

You have to wonder who in France voted for 4500 of their citizens to be fighting in Africa, and how France benefits from this.

Oh boo hoo. 4 years and only 38 casualties. One wonders what kind of “fighting” the froggies are doing. They kill themselves in car wrecks more than they get killed by bad guys. They sure distinguished themselves in Somalia, Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan–NOT.
