Three dead, many injured by truck crashing into people in Stockholm
A truck mowe down pedestrians on a Drottninggatan shopping street in central Stockholm Friday, killing at least three people and injuring many, police spokeswoman Towe Hagg said. Witnesses heard gunshots. Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said that everything points to a terrorist attack. An image was released of the suspect wearing a hooded jacket who is believed on the run in the transport system. The Central Stockholm subway station has been closed as police hunt the attacker. They now report that the truck he used was hijacked earlier from the Swedish beer maker Spendrups, while its driver was unloading a delivery at a restaurant. The driver was not injured.
