TNT traces found from EgyptAir crash point to terror

EgyptAir Flight 804 crashed in the Mediterranean on May 19 en route from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport to Cairo, killing all 66 people aboard, for no apparent cause. Experts from France’s Criminal Research Institute investigating the disaster with Egyptian researchers last week found traces of TNT in the debris, pointing to a terrorist attack as the likely cause. Egyptian authorities reportedly did not allow the French investigators to examine the debris more thoroughly to find the origin of the explosive material, thereby stalling a joint report to wind up the investigation.
