Top US intelligence official: 2014 deadliest year for global terror

Challenging an upbeat assessment by US Secretary of State John Kerry, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper Thursday declared 2014 the deadliest year for global terrorism every recorded. Testifying on Capitol Hill, he contradicted Kerry’s earlier testimony that the threat was diminishing.
