Travel advisory for US visitors to Sinai

It follows the elevation of the terrorist alert by Egyptian security forces in Sinai for the Eid al-Adha holiday Oct. 25-29 that includes south Sinai and Sharm al-Sheikh. It also appears connected to concern about possible terrorist attacks in response to a recent Israeli air strike in Gaza. US citizens are advised to avoid unsecured venues such as bazaars, shopping malls, night clubs and restaurants catering to foreign tourists.
