Trump allocates resources to build wall on Mexican border

US President Donald Trump has ordered the allocation of federal resources to build a wall along his country's border with Mexico, fix border fences that are broken or in disrepair, and recruit 5,000 more people for units responsible for enforcing immigration laws along the border. Trump, who is expected to visit the Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday, ordered the department's head to release the amount of US financial aid to Mexico, from which part of the funding for the wall will be taken. The president also ordered the slashing of the number of US visas issued to citizens of Iraq, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Somalia and Libya. On Tuesday, in his latest series of postings on Twitter, he reported his meetings with top figures from the US auto industry; praised Fox News and called CNN a fake news network; and promised to help the city of Chicago deal with rampant crime, saying "If Chicago doesn't fix the horrible "carnage" going on, I will send in the Feds." He also tweeted "Big day planned on NATIONAL SECURITY tomorrow. Among many other things, we will build the wall!"
