Trump called Putin and they talked for more than an hour
President Donald Trump and Russia’s Vladimir Putin, in a telephone conversation of over an hour on Friday, covered a wide range of subjects, including Iran, Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela, North Korea and the Mueller report findings on Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. Both described the conversation as “positive.” The two leaders pledged to embark on a new era of cooperation on issues from North Korea to Venezuela, where Trump said the Russian leader “is not looking at all to get involved, other than he’d like to see something positive happen.”
