Trump cancels pending order for new Air Force One

President-elect Trump, who has for years flown in a jet airplane bearing his name, appeared to cancel a pending order for a new Air Force One. He tweeted Tuesday: Boeing is building a brand new 747 Air Force One for future presidents, but costs are out of control, more than $4 billion. Cancel order!

Mr. Trump can zero out a financing request for the Air Force One upgrade in his budget for the fiscal year that begins next October, but Congress controls the federal purse and obeys the Secret Service, which would have a say on security in whether the new president would get to continue using his own 757.
