Trump, GOP projected to win US presidency, hold Senate

Donald Trump is poised to win the US presidential election after capturing the battleground states of Florida, North Carolina and Ohio from Hillary Clinton. With Wisconsin and most of the 50 states counted, Trump raises his tally of elector to 269. to Clinton’s 209. The Republicans also look like holding the Senate.  Asian stocks tumbled in early trading on the prospect of Donald Trump becoming the next US president and standing by his pledge to renegotiate global trade deals.
