Trump is to meet Putin for the first time at the G20 summit in Hamburg

US national security adviser H.R. McMaster confirmed Thursday that Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will meet on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany, next week. Asked if Trump would ask Putin about alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election, McMaster told reporters that the agenda for this and other meetings were not yet finalized. He added that the US President would address both “irritants” and areas on which the two powers can work together. "Our relationship with Russia really isn't different" from the United States’ relationships with other countries, he added. Trump will meet a number of world leaders in Hamburg.
